Responsible, accountable and provide oversight of day-to-day construction/execution
of structural, piping and mechanical activities of department assigned field Projects to
ensure they are constructed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved
drawings, engineering design and safety, environment and QatarEnergy standards &
specifications.
Oversee and provide guidance/advice to contractor on all Structural, Piping,
Mechanical (Static & Rotary) construction activities to ensure that they are performed
as per approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and
material requirements.
Required Experience and Skills
1. Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years overall experience in supervising
fabrication yard construction of oil and gas production / wellhead platform topside
and Jacket structures including construction work and material inspection, review
and approval of construction method statements, load-out activities
2. Computer literate. Good communication and writing skills.
3. Excellent command of English Language (oral and written)
4. Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety
and environmental awareness.
5. Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test
plans, construction schedules and drawings.
6. Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions.
7. Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce.
Educational Qualifications
1. B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Higher National
Diploma (HND) (or) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent
plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
